Ahhhh...the dive bar. What better way to put a sub-optimal work day into perspective than to patronize a neighborhood watering hole. So how does one know they're in a dive bar? Let's examine the prime criteria. Marginal service is the staple of the dive bar. If there is no point in the evening where your drink is empty for at least five minutes, you're probably not in a dive bar. High Dive had this part down. Other than that, it's actually a fairly respectable place. The menu is interesting. I tried the gorgonzola fries and the pear and arugula pizza. The fries were excellent and the pizza was OK too. The classic flavor of combination of pear, arugula, and prosciutto gets a bit lost, but it's still interesting. Personally, I would like to have seen a better beer selection, but all-in-all, a fun time with good people. I'll definitely be back.
