Just like the other comment cards, it is crowded at lunch, there's a line a couple of minutes after noon, and the wait can be 15 min. at times, and a lot of times the servers have so many tables that the food comes out not as hot as it should be. Although, I am a big fan of getting duck when I can, especially when it is not overpriced, which it usually is. I am also a big fan of the often screwed up pad thai - so I keep coming back for the Pad Thai Duck lunch special, with their Tom Yum Soup (which is excellent!) I have had the other lunch specials and some entrees with moderate success, and I definitely would not order their fried wontons or spring/egg rolls, but it is a nice touch to get a full asian meal with soup, salad and apps for just around $10.00.

I always enjoy Thai Spices. I have been there maybe close to 50 or more times over the course of several years so I have tried a lot of the menu. The food is excellent, and the lunch special is a great deal. It can be really busy at lunch time, but its worth the trouble, or you can order it for take out. I have been there for lunch more than dinner, but dinner is also nice. The spiciness can go very high, I stay around a 3, out of 10, but I have gone as high as 5. That was when I was eating there 3-4 times a week. I love Thai spices and go back whenever I think about it.

The food was great. It was great enough to make my dislikes insignificant. For example, the restaurant felt crowded and small, and the noise level was almost unbearable. I could hardly hear my crying daughter over the noise. But the food was great.

I had the Pad Thai lunch special which comes with soup, salad, and a spring roll. I was able to feed myself and my wife, get a special drink each, all for under $30. It's a bit high for a regular lunchtime stop, but well worth it when I feel like splurging for some great tasting chow.

Spices is usually a good experience, but today just came up a little bit short. I had the scallop pad-thai (spice number 7); the noodles were great as expected, but the scallops were a bit rubbery. Also, the abductor muscle was not removed, which is a huge pet peeve of mine.

The server took about 15 minutes to get to our table, although after that things moved along nicely. We'll be back, but probably not any time soon.
