COMMENT CARDS
What really stood out to me was the Salsa. Chips were served with a trio of condiments--spicy tomato salsa, a green salsa verde , and carrots. I've got to tell you, I was very impressed with the first two. Both quite spicy (which is great...mild salsa bugs me) and great with the chips.
For dinner I had tlaquepaque with pork; three pork-chop medallions smothered in a jalapeno sauce, and served with fresh tortillas. The pork had good texture, and although I could have used a bit more heat is the sauce, the overall plate was good. The margaritas were OK, but far from noteworthy (although a nice ratio of tequila and sour mix).
The service was adequate--the pace was moderate, but not very thorough. Also I was in an aisle with somebody sitting flush against my chair, so I kept getting bumped into by waitstaff and customers alike. Not a huge deal, but enough to notice. Still, this place is worth an hour of your time...if for nothing else, the chips and salsa.
