I won't go too much into the service or atmosphere...it's exactly what you'd expect from a counter-service shop. Nothing more and nothing less. So onto the food.
I went with the Mushroom Swiss burger. Without being too effusive, this was by far the best burger for the money that I've ever had. The magic is in the bun. They serve it on an egg role that was perfectly toasted at the cut, but still soft and rich. The patty was juicy and meat-to-bun-size ratio was perfect. The mushrooms were nicely seasoned and went well with the cheese. I could have eaten 3 or 4 more of these things, easily.
I was really looking forward to the Smashfries; the rosemary flavoring seemed like a great idea. Alas, they sort of let me down. The flavor didn't come through and the fries themselves reminded me of what you would find at McDonalds. Oh well...there are other sides to try.
Look, this is not the best burger I've ever had, but it's definitely the best I've had for under $10. If you love burgers and haven't made it to Smashburger yet, I recommend you get moving...post haste!
