COMMENT CARDS
There were quite a few things on the menu that were looking good to try. The group decided to get a bunch of dishes and go family style. I was really looking forward to the Panang curry, and it was pretty good. A bit on the spicy side but not too bad. I think the waiter had scared us a bit as to the spice-level, so we stayed in the middle area of the 10-point scale.
The best dish of the night, by far, was the ground beef noodles. Great flavor and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The Thai sausage fried rice was a bit disappointing. For a spice-level of 6, it was pretty bland, and there was hardly any sausage to be found.
The last dish I got to try was Tom ka Kai soup. This was pretty good, having a nice spice and creamy texture. All in all, the food was good, but didn't come close to living up to the hype. The place is small and has a divey feel. Service was ultra slow; to be fair, they were pretty full, but there are only about 6 tables in the dining room.
I'll give it another shot. Maybe with my expectations more in line, I'll have a better perspective on the food. I'll definitely try those ground beef noodles, again.
