I was intrigued by one of their appetizers in particular...deep fried pickle. I actually worked in a place that served these before and wanted to see how they stacked up (apparently, they were a favorite of Elvis). Well, these are the best I've ever had. The pickles are made on site, and the batter is similar to what you would use on a corn dog...thick and cake-like.
Even though there were some interesting selections on the menu , I had to go with the jalapeno burger. It was good; the patty was cooked to a perfect medium and was served on gigantic egg-style bun. I can't believe what I am about to say-it was almost too spicy. They pile that thing with jalapenos (pickled in house) and it was just too hot to finish. Luckily, the fries were delicious and helped cut through some of the heat.
The room itself is really cool. The bar is dressed with a lot of exposed brick and concrete. Tons of TVs line the walls of this dark-but-cool room. I could see myself hanging out here from time-to-time.
