COMMENT CARDS
The recommendation itself was based on the burger, so I figured that's what I'd go with. Before that, I started with ravioli breaded, fried, and stuffed with cheese and jalapenos. Not too terribly different than most fried ravioli offerings, but good none-the-less.
The burger blew me away. The burger I went with came with cheese, bacon, and fried jalapenos (as you can see, I have a hard time passing on jalapenos). The beef patty was cooked to a perfect medium and stacked high with crispy, brown bacon. The toasted bun was big and didn't get overwhelmed by the burger and toppings (that's a peeve of mine). For a side, I went with onion rings. They were huge, and the batter was superb. I actually ended up taking them home (which I almost never do).
Put Xavier's near the top of the list for the best burger in San Diego (with Jaynes and Hodads...I haven't tried Rocky's yet).
