Hmmm...what to start with; I guess I'll go with the food. I got the eggs and hash with a side of chocolate chip pancakes. The eggs were a perfectly-cooked over-easy (a rarity) and the hash, made on the premises, has great flavor. It was finely minced with a soft texture. I was able to upgrade the usual accompaniment of buttermilk pancakes to chocolate chip. The were absolutely delicious--the chocolate morsels were both cooked into the batter, and served melting over the top. This was the best breakfast I had eaten since Arterra.
Then there was the service. First of all, my table was broken off from another table and set flush against the wait station...apparently, there wasn't space in the restroom. I had no condiments (although my neighbors were kind enough to share). During my meal, staff was leaning on the edge of my table to leave empty plates. The beginning of the services way a bit rushed (I was asked 3 times within 2 minutes if I was ready to order while clearly still pining over the menu) and at the back end, it took 10 minutes with no plates on the table to get the check. I will say, my server was very friendly and my coffee and water was never empty. Unfortunately I had no sugar for my coffee, but was able to easily reach over to the wait station to grab some Splenda.
I will try Richard Walkers again; the food was excellent. I would also recommend it to others. Just be aware it's a fast-paced, turn-and-burn environment, and don't let them seat you near the wait station and you should be in for a great time.
