Noodles & Company

Pretty decent place, I think I would try it again. Maybe not a better value than something like the Mongolian Grill, but it was decent. For $7.50 I got a small pad thai chicken bowl and a salad. It looked a bit skimpy, but I was satisfied. It’s nice that they deliver out to the food court, that’s a nice touch. I also love anyplace that has bottles of sriracha on all the tables.

When you've been working in the same general area for 4 years, the lunch options tend to dry up. Fortunately, the food court at the UTC mall has turned over several of it's eateries lately, and I got to try out the most recent replacement today.

Noodles & Company is an interesting concept in that they offer different noodle dishes from around the world. Their menu has 3 main areas - Asian, American, and Mediterranean (which is basically Italian). Even though the chain has been around for a while, this was my first foray. I figured I'd keep it simple and went with the Spicy Peanut Noodles from the Asian section.

For the price, they were OK...not too hot and served with a mix of sauteed vegetables, and a garnish of sprouts and fresh lime. I also added chicken, and I was quite impressed with the quality; it was presented as a full breast, perfectly browned and cut into about 1 inch strips. It's tough to get too excited about the lunch...I think I'm a bit skewed as I've had some really good Thai food as of late.

Noodles & Co won't blow you away, but for the price, it's not a terrible lunch option. Certainly a refreshing addition to the UTC food court.
