What is OpenId

OpenId is an open source SSO (single sign on) platform that allows you to access several websites with a single set of login credentials. FoodFinder uses OpenId exclusively to manage user accounts.

So do you store my user data?

Yes. OpenId allows partners to request certain pieces of user data from the provider. Here at FoodFinder, we ask providers for your email, name, alias/nickname, zip code, country, gender, and timezone. Of course, you can explicitly allow what data is sent back to us. Some partners (I'm looking at you, Yahoo!) don't send us anything. This creates problems, but we're working around it.

I can promise that we will never sell your user data.
